December has been Awesome for us, when the water temperature drops in to the middle 50's here in East Texas we got out our Redington 9' 3wt and head to Lake Dangerfield and Caddo Lake for Chain Pickerel. The pass 10 days we had 3 trips for fly fishing for chain Pickerel, all 3 trips we have put some Chain Pickerel in the net.

We use a 7ft 10-12 lb Leader with a 18-24" 8lb tippet.
We tie our own flies, woolley Bugger in white/ chart and white/pink.
