I’m not sure about the ultrex but I redid my fortrex, pretty easy and I’m not handy.
Minn Kota is quick to get you parts and they’re cheap. I DIYd it because I couldn’t stand being without my boat for weeks while a repair place got to it. Plus the headache of emptying all my gear out of the boat.
There are many YouTube videos to help guide you.

I would beat metroplex traffic early and go eat breakfast at LFM then have it to Chuck at Texas Trolling motor on 17 by 9am and they can probably have you fixed and on your way by lunch!
