If my kid got accepted, I'd probably send them. If I am hiring for a position, I'd weed out any candidates from there.
How is that for duplicitous?

Since the entire staff seemed to support her and her thoughts if you sent your kid there you're part of the problem

Since the entire staff seemed to support her and her thoughts if you sent your kid there you're part of the problem I can't argue with you there. At the same time, the reality is Ivy League grads are set up for life. Period. Not saying they deserve to be, but they are. In fact, I can point to numerous times some Harvard mba dummy came in and screwed up a whole process with his data processing and power point charts that do not take into account reality. Yet they get promoted before and above anyone with actual experience because of that degree. So as I said, for my kids, I would absolutely jump on giving them that ticket in life. But for my company, I'd never bring in that sort of BS. Over time, I do believe the stigma of prestige will fade away because of this stuff. But it has not yet.

Not even if it was free. It's the definition of an institution that has lost all worth to society.

My son graduated from their law school. Proud of his academic achievements but even more proud that he came out of HLS even more conservative than when he started there.

some times exposure to something makes you hate it
for everyone that says, don't smoke around your kid or they will smoke, sometimes it makes them not want to smoke

I have a middle-class friend that had a son who received a scholarship for football to an ivy-league school.
After a year or so, I asked him about affordability to attend that school.
He replied, "If you're going to an Ivy-League School, money is a non-issue."
Apparently there are enough donations, grants, gifts, and endowments, that anyone that they WANT, can get in. Thus, the Liberal Leaders, stoke the path of the university. Apparently there is a LARGE amount of $$$ coming in to these schools from countries that do not share the American morals. Ivy League schools don’t offer athletic scholarships. Are you saying he was accepted to play football and then received financial aid?

U Penn is one of the few that offers limited (worked around as financial aid) football scholarships, but they hardly count as Ivy League.

Go to a Baptist university. Money grows in trees if you’re wanted there.
