There is so much momentum, so much velocity, to this situation right now that it feels like the charted path is a bit inevitable.
I hope I'm off the mark with that, and everybody finds a way to dial this back before it totally devolves, but I don't know if that kind of fortune is in the cards. I think this thing is going to happen.
This kind of useless speculation is all that I can offer, but I believe we are set up for a direct conflict with Iran. Once that happens, and our plate is full, I can only assume that China gets froggy and goes to work on Taiwan. At that point, I guess it'd officially be game on, and the opportunity for all sorts of extreme lunacy gets put on the table.
It doesn't feel good, right now.
