The guts are inside of the housing that holds the screen. I am typing on one just like it. If you need to do maintenance on it, you carefully pry the screen off. I have been into mine several times, once to upgrade to a solid state hard drive and once to replace the airport card. You order a new gasket/adhesive to reattach the screen to the case.
