kinda tough yesterday, I think the lake is starting fall turnover.,. fish very scattered and spooky,, water looks funky .and stinky.... livescope certainly looks different during turnover, very hazy and less definition of the fish and brushpiles.
fish were found in most depths to 21 feet, but mostly 12 to 16 feet near or on the bottom.. . hard to sneak up on the shallower fish and seriously considering getting the crappie brakes set up.
we have started doing alot of open water scanning, looking for single or small groups of fish. There are many days when fish are just roaming near baitfish in open water, so when we recognize that to be the case, we kind of stop going from brushpile to brushpile, or tree to tree, and try to find the depths of water column that seem to hold the most fish, and just start trolling those depths with the livescope distance set abt 40 feet out.
Bright chartruese with metal fleck seemed best, it shows up better in the gumbo water..

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

hey young man,, I will never forget that magical day we had on waco,, the fish were almost jumping in the boat.
74 fish in abt 4 hours,, fish
Ive only experienced a feed like that twice in my life, it was phenomenal
it was almost exactly the same, 74 fish in 4 hours., everywhere we fished, anything we dropped they just nailed it..

yes, lake waco is one of the few places in the centex I have ever seen them,., in winter alot of the mexican pelicans I call them inhabit the lake,, they are magnificent, with large black tipped wings.. kind of people friendly you can get kind of close to them before they leave the area.

What’s the water level like? The sandbass run and crappie in those creeks In spring has been really good the few times I’ve been down there but the lake was full.

its quite low, havent been able to get into the creeks very far.
last few years I havent found much in the creeks, due to either low or very clear water.
