Hooks are very light on these baits. Change them or use them? Fillet & Release has a few left for $17.99 if interested.

I use the stock hooks. I don't have any issues with them. The bait was designed with the MB Katsuage hooks abd you fet optimal performance with the hooks. Tge feedback I get from customers is the majority I talk to keep the stock hooks on them.

Stock hooks here as well....only time I changed them out is when I got one stuck on a tree, we my last of that color, and had to straighten one out to get it loose. These hooks are not designed to swing the fish in like you see on TV. I've caught my PB on the stock hooks at 8.16.

If you do swap them, you have to be very precise on balance and weight or the lure doesn't perform as well.

I usually snag em on trees and lose them way before the hooks fail.

Replace stock with stock. The 110 is designed to use that specific outbarb hook, it can and will change the action of the bait if you do not match the weight. They're light hooks but they work great, I caught my PB with those outbarbs and no bendies. Just can't have your drag cranked.

Stock hooks are good on all MB baits I have tried. They should be for what they cost. With that said, you better have replacement hooks in the boat. You catch a few good fish and have to use the needle nose to get the hooks out and those hooks are done. They break really easy. There are lots of good hook options out there now that won't change the action of the bait.

I would definitely change them. I’ve had too many fish straighten them out. Best replacement hooks I’ve found are the Aaron Martens G-Finesse in size 5.
