A long time ago, if you'll remember John Fox, he was giving a fishing seminar in Fort Worth.
I went with a friend of mine and Fox stood on the stage and said that he had just set a new Bass fishing record on Toledo Bend with this new lure, Of course he brought about 250 Lunker Lures to sell.
Fox told us his fishing story, which was a lie, but he also told us about holding the bait outside the car window as we were driving to the lake. Well, as we drove down to Granbury Lake the next morning, { good lake at the time} we were passed by two other trucks pulling bass boats, both holding their lures out of the windows as instructed.
I thought that was kinda funny.
Still have a bunch and use them all the time

Good Luck

🤣🤣 Now that’s a cool story

Crimp the rivet that holds the blade on with a pair of pliers so it will no longer rotate. Then hold it out the window as you drive to the lake until you hear it making a squealing sound. At that point, it is ready for use. Just make sure and not drop it on the road while you are tuning it. Did that once by accident. LOL

I tied 7 new Lunker Lures to the back running light on my boat before I left home one morning. When I got to the ramp I only had 5 left!!

Well, with you rolling through stop signs and hitting most of the traffic lights green.... that was all I could get. But thank you for those two.

Ha! roflmao

Smaller buzzbaits, I reach out to Paul at ACT. He's made me some gems for pond / river fishing. He can use thin piano wire for making them vibrate more and have good noise.

The small whopper plopper is a great alternative to small buzz bait. Very subtle sound

I like Croc-O-Gators. You can tweak it so that the blade clacks off the head, gives it a nice knocking sound. They are fairly compact, easy to cast. They go as low as 1/4 oz, which to me qualifies as finesse in the world of buzz baits.

To me a finesse buzzbait is a 1/2 ounce with a few strands of the skirt missing.
