I fished this morning with my buddy Mike from Comanche, OK. We got out early to beat the heat and started out with top water in a shallow cove where the bait has been roaming. We saw a lot of surfacing bait but no fish chasing it. I did catch this one that was as big as my top water bait.



After an hour or so, we relocated knowing the fish weren’t showing up. We headed to an old house foundation that the fish have been stacked up on for a week or so. Once we got setup, Mike fished the living room while I fished the bathroom. Mike was throwing a silver HEYbud and I was throwing a chartreuse one. Immediately we were getting hooked up.



The clicker was up to about 50 fish by 10am and decide it was getting too hot so we said we would fish until we got 60 fish or 11am, whichever came first. We relocated the boat to the north side of the house. Mike was now fishing the dining room while I fished the master bedroom. Mike switched over to a chartreuse HEYbud and was getting hooked up quicker. He made his first cast into the dining room and he caught this one snooping in the fridge.



Mike got the only hybie on the day but I pulled in this 17” Waurika lake Magnum on a chartreuse HEYbud. Along with this fish we managed several others in the 15-16 1/2” range.



All in all great day on the water! Not much better than catching and laughing with a good fishin buddy!
