During my morning routine back yard leak, I stepped on a 14” copperhead while in flip flops….

I jumped back, snake creeped off in the other direction in no hurry, I came back with a golf club… no luck.

Do those snake repellent granules actually work? Tried a cat before but it was useless and somehow died.
I live on one acre that backs up to a pond, last week saw a snake everyday, 4 days in a row. Different snakes on my driveway.
Grass is kept short, and not much clutter except for a stack of R-panel in the back corner which I’m sure has something under it.

You’re in Midlothian……

My fishing partner lives there on a few acres with lots of chickens, goats, pigs, and cattle. He sees snakes every day too.

Did you scream?

Snakes hate it when you scream.

One of the guys that fished with us (I think you know him), was bit by a copperhead a few weeks ago. He was sodding his yard. When he got to the last layer of grass, one came out from under the pallet and sunk both fangs into his foot. He said it was pretty bad for a few days. He was hospitalized.

Gotta be careful…as much as you can I guess.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Caught a Speckled Kingsnake in my backyard a few weeks ago. Only one I've ever seen here.

Although I’m in the middle of subdivision hell, I really try to watch every step I take. We have quite a few non poisonous sneks around here, I’m sure there’s a few copperheads too
