I haven't been able to find aquatic vegetation in Ray Roberts since I moved here last year. I've primarily fished the west side of the lake in the arms over by Sanger. Are there areas of the lake with some vegetation this time of year?

I haven't been out to Ray Bob this year but I have fished it a LOT over the past 25 years and the vegetation is slim at best... If it's there look on the north side of 922 (Tioga side) and also around 377 (train track) FIY as your going back there keep the telephone poles on your right or it will not end well for you hammer

I'm still not familiar enough with the lake to go on pad anywhere 3002. I kept reading how the lake used to have some vegetation in parts of the lake.

It's there and mostly in the back of coves with feeder creeks. Look around you'll find it. thumb

I can tell you I've seen a few pockets near Sanger that have it and one is near Park Ramp.

I'm thinking if you're going back to the 377 bridges and you keep the poles on your right, it definitely won't end well for ya.

Thanks! I thought I was the only one confused. That Railroad bed is EAST (Right headed North) of the Telephone Poles. Hence they would be on the left (WEST) if the boat headed up.

Yep, no matter which way you are driving keep the old power poles to the West of your boat...and that grass in there has been gone for a very long time...quite a bit of coon tail now in other parts of the lake, like Avid said above, in the backs...

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Your correct keep them to the west. That's a better way of putting it.

There is more vegetation in the lake now than I have seen in years.

Sand, Wolf, Indian and Buck all have it.

Even some on the main lake.

Is South West of the yellow line pretty open to run? I haven't gone east of the dam before.

No. Lots of submerged timber, take it slow if you don't know the way through.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Shhhhh, we're trying to keep it that way. Don't need no prying eyes thinking the lake needs to be treated.
