I believe the Pontiac was a Transport. I think these had plastic body panels.

Ever drive one of those?


It has three foot of dash. Then another three of hood. Then another couple of feet of bumper. You can't see or get a feel.for how long it is. With lots of people racking it up against parking signs, parking post, and the rear end of other cars.

close, trans sport. I remember the tail lights.

I had the Oldsmobile Silhouette version.

My friend's parents had either the Pontiac or the Chevrolet, I don't remember which. The Oldsmobile was the upscale version of that vehicle. They had cool windshield wipers (well, as cool as they could be on that ugly thing).

The wheels though, sweet

European looking plates. With a big sticker saying, "Powered By Man". On a Pontiac.

... that really sets it off.

I drove a Lumina van provided to me as a company vehicle. When the lease was up the company allowed me to purchase it as a lease buyout. I turned around and sold it for a nice profit. It actually drove pretty nice.
Funny thing was, that I sold it to a middle eastern family, when they were looking it over, the mom and dad kept asking the 11-13 year old son what he thought, once he approved the deal was done. I couldn’t wrap my head around him being the decision maker, but that’s how it transpired.

No not really mini vans never really got my attention.
