This strike occurred just after sunset. It was initially a decent strike, then nothing. Thought i had lost my live bait. But Cudas have a tendency to follow your line in until it realizes it's in danger. I'm not much of a Cuda fancier so i threw it back.

In the Caribbean, many cudas are rife with ciguatera toxin, depending on where they reside, and what reef fish they eat. If you eat a cuda over 10 pounds, you're asking for it. The French boaters make ceviche with small ones, and it's very tasty. Ciguatera poisoning, however, is nasty, and it takes seven years for it to dissapate from your body. IslandJim
