Lake Level is 239.88. 1.88 foot above normal. COE is currently releasing 192 CFS.
Overnight temperatures are predicted to be in the low 60's the next couple of days but then stay above 70 degrees after that. Small showers expected as well.

Drove over the Yegua watershed yesterday at Highway 21. Middle Yegua was high and muddy.

Where's the shad spawn? Headed up this weekend was hoping to spend time on the humps in the main lake, will it be worth it?

Went by Welsh Park this morning. I couldn't stay long and didn't see any signs of white bass or hybrids but the shad were there in big numbers. It should really take off from here on.

I have been to Lake Somerville several times over the last couple of weeks and have been skunked every time. I tried to fish at the dam, off the marina and the shoreline around it, and over at Irwin Bridge. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, can't even get a bluegill .

Good to see, we started around Welch last weekend and saw no sign of shad, just seagulls flying and landing! Hopefully they will find the shad and this weekend be successful for all!

Fished the lake this morning, got there a little late, caught 10 catfish. The shad were working the shorelines pretty good. Went back this evening to try to get some shad at the nails creek boat ramp, nothing!

I tried to fish at the dam, off the marina and the shoreline around it, and over at Irwin Bridge. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, can't even get a bluegill . The bluegill haven't moved shallow yet, the white bass have left the creek at Irwin Bridge, Below the dam won't be any good unless they crank up the flow to at least half open for about 10 days, The shad are just moving shallow so most everywhere you fished, the fish just weren't there. Park at the dam and walk over to the lake side or go to Welsh Park and fish off the island. The white bass and hybrids are bound to show up any day now that the shad spawn has picked up. The bluegill should be showing up soon too.

I waded out and the shad were constantly running into my legs. I had my rod tip in the water and they kept running into it as well. Still not full throttle but a big jump.
