Use light wire in standard cover...medium wire when in the trees.

What size do you use?

2/0 for small finesse worms and 3/0 or 4/0 for 7" Trick worms. Its a Gamakatsu straight shank worm hook that has a tiny piece of shrink wrap plastic as the keeper to hold the worm in place up near the eye. Great hooks.

zoom finesse worm, 3in finesse senko, Zoom Meathead, and Zoom Z Drop Worm are the worms I fish 99% of the time. The only 1% I will use a Power shot brush hog in the thick stuff.

They all work. I’ve used a 10” power worm on a drop shot before.

Just gotta make sure the hook matches the size/style bait

Use light wire in standard cover...medium wire when in the trees.

What size do you use?

1/0 for 4 - 5" worms like the roboworm
2/0 for the 5-6" worms like roboworm fat worm or finesse worm
3/0 medium wire for baby brushhogs

Big Bite Baits Shakin Squirrel is the best straight tail worm I’ve found. I like it over the Roboworm because the Roboworm has too much salt imo. Roboworm Rebarb hook around cover and an Owner drop shot hook nose hooked in open water

Don’t put a robo worm in a fish tank. You’ll be highly disappointed. It lays there and does nothing and won’t even float the hook.
