Does Lake Bardwell have good fishing, crappie, sand bass, or hybrid? It's pretty close to me but I never hear anyone talking about it and to look at the lake you don't see any standing timber or obvious cover. If anyone knows much about the lake and wouldn't mind sharing some info that would be great?

I don’t know the lake myself but do you have a boat or are you only able to bank fish ?

If I were you and had a boat I would Google the lake map or pull it up on my lake map charts on fishy finder and get in a creek sooner than later. Hit them brush tops or any structure grass beds stick and move till you find them. Go get em !! Ps : Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and fish layovers etc in the middle of a creek or the mouth too. !!! It’s hammer time !!

I would get in one of those creeks I circled on Bardwell lake assuming it’s boat accessible due to the pic and go as far as I could in there and work my way out. Put the time in I bet you will catch. Also looks like a bridge on the one that branches off to the right just maybe you can park there walk in and bank fish. Good luck.

I lived close to Bardwell for 20 years. Lake has good crappie, sand bass Hybrids and Bass fishing. There have been numerous double digit bass caught. My best was 10.5 Not a lot of pressure.

From the Parks and Wildlife page on Bardwell... The survey reports about halfway down this page are helpful too to get a feel for which species to target. https://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/bardwell/
