Ken - One of my favorite times was sitting down at Val's Landing one day with Larry Barnes as he was discussing his battle when catching his famous fish Valentine over in Pinson. It's crazy what buying a nice flowering plant for the wife for Valentine's Day can trigger in your mind.

great story and fish. I wonder how many ounces she lost in the meantime between getting caught, still fishing, hanging out until the eating was done and finally driving the boat up for weigh in?

If this will open, it’s a story about Larry Barnes.

Great stories.

That 17.64 picture is one of the most impressive pictures I have ever seen-that thing is MASSIVE in depth and frame. Just a great picture.
Wonder what she weighed Jan and Feb earlier that year.

I have cataracts from trolling around that area too many years…never saw a fish nearly that big(big ones yes but that fish looks like a different species-lol).
