I have a Honda HRX217VKA that I bought 2 years ago. It mows great. Honda is probably the best mower out there IMO. They are also going to quit making HONDA mowers completely though so if you want one you better hurry and get one. FJB

My Honda is a 2003 model. Bought new. Uses no oil and starts easy. Never replaced the plug or air filter. Changed oil once, maybe twice.

Get ya one of these. 10hp toro dual blade walk behind. If ya get bored, you can ride it like a go cart. Lol $2200, but it’s electric start. Lol One of my buddies let me borrow his similar to that a year or so ago - I was thinking he paid about a $1000 less but it was a bad dude regardless. I told myself next time I buy one, that's what it'll be. I use a manual push mower, think it's a 5.75hp craftsman - pushing isn't the issue, it's thick grass cutting power I lack.

I have a fwd Toro Recycler 6.5hp but use mine manually.
I don't see the need to use an assisted mower on a small city lawn.

I have a Toro(not the dual blade) that I used to replace a Honda dual blade during Covid when stuff was hard to find. If I ever have a choice it will definitely be the Honda mower and if I can't find one will make sure whatever brand it is has a Honda engine. Both were front wheel drives.

Rear drive Snapper for me. I bought a Snapper Hi Vac mower around 1990. Paid around 500 bucks which was a bunch of $$ at the time. Best mower I`ve ever owned. Had a Wisconsin Robins engine that was a beast. I owned a Murray mower with front wheel drive, and it was the worst mower I`ve ever owned. POS

POS I paid 525 $ for mine 15 years ago and it has been fantastic and reliable. Has a Briggs engine which also has been great. Mowing season 16 will start in a few months.

I thought it was bulletproof. I finally broke the motor on a brick. Set it to the curb and it was gone in 5 minutes. The deck was still good.

I moved to the country and bought a ZTR after using it 8-9 years. I gave mine to my brother who never took care of things. Just trying to help him out. He never mentioned it again. He probably let it sit out in the rain and ruin.

Front wheel and get the biggest motor you can. Only bad thing is with drive wheels, it that they wear our and don't pull with out tread.
