I have 2 Gen 3 HDS 12’s on my boat. Recently I had one that wouldn’t power on. I switched the 2 units and the other one powers on regardless of where I hook it up. The one that won’t power on will not power up at all. Doing some internet research and visually inspected the unit, I found the burned marks on the internal ribbon strip. My question is, is it worth spending the $200-400 dollars to have it repaired? Or just replace the unit? I can’t afford the 12 lives or Carbons, and really like the 12” ..
