What do you do if you are trying to vote before going to work or to pick up your kid at school or daycare...and when you get to the polling place the machines in your overwhelmingly red precinct are conveniently not working for several hours?

I am an "old" and I normally vote by mail. I do not trust the mail in ballot system any more.
I voted in person this time so I know it would be counted.

There is absolutely NO valid reason why all the votes have not been counted by the 8th day after election day. If you must vote by mail those should be mailed in time to get them in by election day. If you don't want to vote in person (either early or on election day) then you should expect and alternate rule about postmarks.

I posted about this in a different thread . The ballots found are from san Jose , affecting the mayor's race . The political incumbent VS the outsider . The outsider isn't controlled by the unions , the insider is totally corrupt and comes from a family that has been in politics here forever . The ballots found are supporting the outsider . For the lady to have found these is insane --- the santa Cruz Mtns are rough area and practically impossible to find anything let alone a bag stuffed with ballots . The race is currently razer thin with the outsider leading by a few hundred votes . I would bet money there are more bags thrown in the mountains that will never be found . Voter fraud is real and mail in voting is a leading method to cheat . They are still counting votes in this race --- 8 days later and there were only 150K approx votes

Those who continue to prophetically proclaim “most secure election ever” even before an election occurs have a very different definition of “secure”. This is the same group whose person in charge of border security defiantly states that the border is secure.
