I very mainly only fished Lake Somerville and recently moved some of my fising efforts to Lake Conroe. In my short time fishing Conroe we had mainly targeted cats, with a few Hybrids mixed in. We would troll a bit for Hybrids and catch a couple White Bass but we let them go even though they were almost all around 15".

Last three weeks I've strictly targeted Hybrids and caught quite a few Whites so I've kept the along with the Hybrids.

The White Bass more so than the Hybrids have nearly all had black specs about half the size of a grain of rice. I'm sure the are not harmful but would like to know what they are?

Are the specks in the meat or the skin?
