How's the lake looking? I wish it was spring time again.

If you haven't been out to the lake lately, get ready for disappointment. If we don't get some substantial rains, there will be no spring run. The lake is currently 5.5ft low. There is little to no water in the entire west side of the lake where Nails Creek and Yegua creek enter the lake. There is no access to the creek from the lake at this time, the creek mouths are dry. We can't event duck hunt it's so low.
If I fished for money.........I'd be broke.

Well guys and gals looks like yegua might be out the picture for the kiddos and I this season coming up. With that said has anyone heard about any of the other runs that might still go on this year?

West side of the state is crispy dry and the east side isn't much better.. Really can't say where just yet. pray for drought relief.. prepare to endure more dry conditions..

Walk in runs, no, boat in runs, yes. I'll be running trips after duck season

Lake Livingston is an option. Trinity River, Harmon Creek, Caney Creek & Whiterock Creek. Just checked and that lake is near full pool.

I was on Trinity the other day. Access to some of the creeks is difficult unless the river is up, even in my rig which can go most places, chalk or whites are silted. B edias was good lastyear

Enjoyed seeing all the overhead shots of the lake and creeks. Definitely a different perspective from what I'm used to seeing.

Do you typically fish for crappie or whites when you're on the Trinity/Livingston?

So I’m wondering, I haven’t had a chance to check my normal spots but does anyone have an idea what The Steps look like or airport rd or even Colorado bend. Sorry a lot of questions just been working to much to get out and check.
