Legitimately, they've needed for 20 years to bottom out and get some early picks and rebuild. Jerry knows the brand and his wallet will take a hit if they bottom out for 2-3 years and that's why he signs ridiculous deals like Dak and Zeke - to keep him out of the cellar. But that's exactly what they need to do if they want to be competitive for a super bowl again. We are cutting Zeke after this year and there is potential to cut Dak the following year if you actually want to rebuild.

I'd take Bryce myself but I'd be glad to give either one a shot.

Nothing will matter as long as Jerry is running the show. McCarthy will be out this year and he will find another puppet.

They were 4-12 in 2015 and then 6-10 in 2020 . They sure as hell didn't turn either of those years into winning bonanzas.

Since year 2000 they've had 7 seasons with 6 or less wins. The Cowboy's condition is not a talent by draft condition but a football team management problem. Jerrah and company both "think" they are the smartest guys around but just can't see the forest for the trees. The proof is in the results of their "management".

Since 1997 they have won the NFC East 7 times. They have made it to the playoffs via being the NFCE champs or by a Wildcard berth 11 times. In that first round of the playoffs they lost (Wildcard round) they lost 7 times and the Divisional rd 4 more times.

I am reminded of Jerrah the Greats remark after he fired Jimmy Johnson that he could win SB's with any of 150 college coaches or something like that. Jerry is an arrogant, limelight seeking dumbarse when it comes to building a winning team. He has NO idea of the formula. As a 50 year + Cowboy fan I am almost ready to throw in the towel ! Screw a 1st round #1 overall draft pick. That is the last thing I can think of right now.

Truthfully at this point I would be getting with SF and see what it would take to get Jimmy G headed this way. Let him play until Dak is healthy then evaluate it at that point. If he is playing good leave him in. If not put Dak back in. Go into 2023 with a real QB competition and see what happens.

Peyton like the Cowboys but will he be able to make personell decisions? Without that I think he would choose a different team.

If they do get the #1 pick with Jerry running the show they will take a player that they could get in the third round. All Jerry really cares about is a butt in every seat while wearing a $100.00 + jersey.

I do see them trading for jimmy, they prob want a first round pick for him, I would offer a third.

Getting Jimmy G wouldn't help their situation. They still do not have receivers and Jimmy G does not know the offense. the O line is in disarray So basically, they would bring in a player that would financially strap them and
they will still be losers.
