Had both ears bobbed at the top for squamos this year . Thankful that it wasn't worse as I was a dedicated sun worshipper (including tanning beds ) during the 80s .

Co-worker’s wife passed from melanoma at age 28 leaving him with 3 and 5yo boys to raise. Melanoma is a nasty cancer.

Was just looking at affordable wicking long sleeve shirts online when I paused to read the OT. $20 is too much for a Bangladesh shirt.

I had my first large melanoma removal last week. Several samples donated over the last 18 months.

I think lanman71 has had 100 removed so far.

Had one cut off my back back in the 90's, had been clear until last year. Had some precancerous spots caught early, was able to use the creams to get rid of them before they became cancerous.

May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

My sister had ocular melanoma and lost her left eye. It is very rare but deadly. It spread to her liver and we lost her in December 2019. 2 weeks before she passed my BIL and niece pulled up in the front yard after taking her to her last oncologist appointment and my niece said what is that white horse doing in our front yard? My BIL said Chrisi we don't have a white horse. Her priest said he had never seen someone so at ease prior to passing.

My grandmother was one of the most hateful people you'd ever want to know. I know part of it was due to having a mentally unstable mother and part due to my grandfather having a wondering eye... but she was truly a vile woman. I think she beat the cancer out of pure spite. She just wanted to make certain she outlived my grandfather although they'd divorced for the third time 12 years prior, and he died 6 years before she did. She was just mean...

That had to hurt! I've had to refer several clients out to have their moles checked. Finally got one wrong for the first time a couple of weeks back. It ended up being a blood blister of some sort, but it dang sure looked like melanoma. I had been batting .1000 prior to that on when I sent a client to have them checked... either carcinoma or melanoma.

I just started going last fall and will make sure to go get checked each year. They took a piece out of my back but thankfully it came back benign.

I'm finally getting smart enough where if I'm not feeling well, I'll go to the doc and get better rather than waiting for weeks for whatever it is to pass. Decided there is no sense suffering for longer than I need to, not sure why I ever fought going to the doc to begin with. We have a clinic at my office so it's pretty convenient

My back has a couple chunks out of it as well. Get checked head to toe by dermatologist annually.

I've had 2 taken off of my face and 1 off of my ear. All Basel cell. My BIL just had a huge slice taken off of his stomach and several off of his back, all Melanoma.

I had squamous cell carcinoma on my nose in 2021 and had to have surgery to have it removed. I felt like a hooked fish while they were doing the surgery. Scared me enough to stop going in the sun without any protection. The Dr also wants me to come in for 6 month checkups for any other changes as I have spots on my back they are keeping an eye on. All of this is from my younger years fishing without sun screen.

Basal cell here.

I am the one you see on the lake with long sleeves, gloves and big hat. No choice…I don’t like surgery.
