yes and had I not modeled them they never would have happened. grin

pretty sure I had just come off a raft trip on the guadalupe, river was in major flood and only thing allowed out was guided rafts.
what a yr. that was. lol

that flood the dam was wide open at 5,500cfs and the spillway was running about 2' deep for a week or more, we guessed the flow at around 8500cfs the first 4 days while the river above canyon came down.

horseshoe falls was about 10' under the surface, we ran the dam to "the take out" for whitewater sports in an old 20' military raft. good times!

these are from june of 87 (found one of my old albums, date on these) on the guad, owner got me to come back down for a couple of weeks to train some guides for them. this was probably max dam flow. location is called the chute.
