We, like many conservatives, can't stand Calif. as so many kooky libs are ruining it (if not for the weather we'd of moved decades ago). We're looking to relocate
Besides Texas, what'd be you second choice to live, and why? So many nice Souther states it seems. Great fishing in all of them, that's muy importante!!!

Perdito Key Florida. No state income tax and really close to Alabama but not Alabama.

Colorado, as in Central Mountains and not Denver/Colorado Springs. Incredible beauty and I love snow.
I would miss bass fishing.

Anyplace that doesn't have hurricanes, earthquakes, or tornadoes. Had enough of all of those to last several lifetimes. Arizona, if you like heat. There are parts of Idaho and Montana that are great, but the winters can be a bit harsh, but outdoor hunting and fishing some of the best. There are parts of Utah that are great.
