Guy obviously has skills, but if I was paying $1250 and he casted in front of me, we'd have a problem. Guess I'm just not cut out for this stuff, but good for him that he's able to get folks to pay to watch him fish

I can't even imagine someone wanting to pay to watch me fish

The guy has caught 60+ DD bass in less than 12 months including 4 over 13 lbs out of large public reservoirs in Texas. Nobody else fishing today is putting up big bass numbers like that. Not even close.

Some folks have interest in learning how he's doing it.

He's offering to teach you how to hunt for giant bass. You learn the whole process and you learn how to use the electronics. When I fished with him my partner and I casted first every single time. Josh would often follow up with a cast after us (Usually because we screwed something up), but it's not like you are sitting in the back of the boat watching. I never felt front ended a single time. I mean you are up there with him, standing right next to him. The whole time he's coaching and telling you what to do. I believe it probably is true Josh catches way more fish than his clients, but it's not because he's front ending them, it's because this whole thing is super hard even if you know exactly what to do. He's had thousands of hours of practice. Most guys who fish with him are trying it for the first time.

If you think the price is too high, or what he's offering doesn't interest you, fair enough. Don't book the guy. I don't get the hate though.

The price is too high for me. I don’t, but if I did want to learn to fish that way I would be more than happy for him to make just as many casts as me. I would have more confidence in the process if I actually saw a hawg caught even if it was not by me.

He won't throw in front of you. He'll tell you right where to cast and let you make the first cast. He is transparent. He'll tell you that he's really not a guide and that people pay him to go fishing with him. He will tell you you can cast first but he's going to try to catch the fish. I respect that.

I know a half dozen guy that have fished with him and every one of them have either gone back for another round or spoke very highly of him.

Still not sure where all the hate is coming from??

As I have said, I hope he catches a New State Record and raises his rates to $2,500/day.

Ken A, the hate is coming from jealousy because he is doing something they cant, im glad he is doing it, Its has given me a challenge to try to learn how. I dont understand people trying to ruin this mans life, im starting to think he is the only person to ever fish with a expired license.

If he’s up front about you’re paying to fish with him and it’s not to guide you, then how can people have a problem with the guy? I think he’s got his fishing license now, so no worries there. I think it’s incredible what he’s doing. Go JJ. Keep it up.

Yes he has a non expired license now and paid the $500 fine, so the haters and the person who turned him into the GW can now smile and sleep better

Seems like you guys that ride his nuts get more bent out of shape than so called haters do. That’s what I’ve noticed about it all.
