Cold front is hitting Saturday which is my only available day for us to fish. Last 3 out of 4 trips I’ve had to fish sorry conditions with either a front hitting or light east wind and bluebird sky. Can’t seem to catch a break on trophy fishing weather this season. After taking a whooping from Mother Nature so frequently I’m having a real tough time talking myself into fishing Saturday. 20° temperature drop with a north east 10 to 20 mph wind usually spells a terrible day for fishing and add rain on top of that. I’m getting tired these nasty tricks Mother Nature keeps playing on us. Anybody else gonna fish Saturday?

Dig in and ride the wave bud. I'll be out there...somewhere, doing the same. It's funny though, 2 times this past 2 months, I didn't go because it was typically a bad day with the way the weather pattern was. Both days were slaughter fests for others who went regardless.

You know I will talk myself into suiting up Trent. I gotta psych myself up buddy and this is my process. Only time I can ever remember sitting out was last winter’s Blizzard. Its time to strap on the half t-top enclosure and break out the battle gear! Sure won’t catch one sitting at home that’s for sure! Some of my biggest fish have come on the nastiest days. Only the biggest fish in the lake tend to come out and play on those days! Just need some good luck🍀🍀🍀

I love fishing fronts. They always seem to feed heavy for me when the weather starts changing.

I can count the number of skunks I’ve taken in the last 5 yrs on one hand and every single one was on the first day of front. Day 2 of north wind is a different story…

Same story here in Alabama. Friday is the day to fish. Saturday is rainy, windy, and colder. Wish these fronts would come in on a Monday, not a Saturday.

Chris, since I'm not able to go Saturday, I pray that you'll be out there drifting along with hope as your co-captain! It will make my weekend if I get to come home, log in and find a post with you holding an absolute toad. Well... it's fishing.
If we wanted to only go catching we'd all be a bit more particular...

I get that it’s fishing Ramcr as I’ve been going just about every week my whole life but I expect to catch big fish consistently this time of year. . My fishing trips in trophy season usually consist of us catching a bunch of toads. Going 5 trips with only catching 5 fish over 20 is just not what I’m used to in November December. 2 decent trip out of 5 is painful to me. We had a good Thanksgiving trip up at Texoma and my son got a good birthday fish last week or else I would be losing it.

If my wife weren't having shoulder surgery Friday I'd be fishing for sure.Biggest fish of all seem to have always been caught within 48 hours of a front approaching.........the nastier the front the better the fishing.Ya know come to think of it I could drop her off at the surgical center, its only 15 minutes out to Fort Phantom..........Better not,even with only one good arm she could kill me in my sleep.

Saturday is when the front is hitting not approaching. Let’s see everybody’s big fish come Saturday afternoon! I’m betting there’s gonna be quite a few guys that either get real quiet, say they didn’t go, or they took a beating. Lol! From what I can tell me and Trent are the only 2 guys willing to say we’re suiting up. Who else is fishing and come Saturday?
