I have used some meal kit services in the last year. They always use Yukon Gold potatoes. Another thing is after you drain them save just a little of the water they were boiled in and add it back slowly to the potatoes when you are mashing them. I think it is to make them a little creamy. Just do maybe 3 TBS at a time so as not to overdue it.

I make these at Thanksgiving every year. Yukon gold potatoes, boiled in chicken broth, drain, add evaporated milk, butter salt and pepper, I mash with a hand masher. They always turn out great! The 4 yr old grandson ask for them every time he comes over!

Wife adds that DRIED ranch Dressing powder.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.

Boil taters in salted chicken broth. Add sweet cream unsalted butter, cream cheese, sour cream and season to taste with Fiesta Garlic Pepper. Very good!

Mash with butter first...then add milk or cream and mix through. Adding milk too soon makes potatoes gummy if you over mix

I have found, if you use and electric beater, it makes the gummy also. I always use hand masher. Just my 2 cents worth.
