Will be down in Port A Sunday for 4 days. Planning on fishong off the Caldwell Pier. Not sure what kind of line to spool or what rig/bait to use. Taking the kids, so need to catch fish to keep them interested. Any help is appreciated.

go to the pier on the intercoastal. Was there last friday and caught some undersized trout with my friends just with live shrimp. Fish under the brightest lights and you should catch fish. I was just freelining shrimp. For the specks i would use 4 or 5 hooks sizes. Just go to port a outfitters to find out what to use. They were really friendly and helpful when i was there saturday.

Go fish the south jetties instead!
