I think it used to be available, but was changed. I'm fairly sure that information is blocked from public record as a privacy matter. I understand that even the police aren't supposed to randomly look up that info - they need a justification that at least sorta floats.

I did it once years ago with a pay for website, however it was at least 8-9 years ago.

https://d3eaozktcyljdh.cloudfront.n...1602525402/public/form_files/VTR-275.pdfYou have to fill one of these out and either mail it or go to a Texas DMV in person. There is a page TWO you can check the box saying the vehicle is abandoned, needs to be towed, blocking a drive, etc. For $6.75 you can get certified title ownership of the vehicle from the license plates.

Oh, this one is useful for me: "In conjunction with a civil, criminal, administrative or arbitral proceeding in any court or government agency or before any self-regulatory body, including service of process, investigation in anticipation of litigation, execution or enforcement of a judgment or order, or under an order of any court. (Requestor must submit proof of legal proceeding or proof of anticipated proceeding.) "

If you know someone at a car dealership they can run it for you. This^^^ Call a car dealership tell them you want to sell it. When they ask you why you are not on the title act surprised tell them you are the owner and ask who's name is on the title.
