I haven't listened to him in a few years, but back then it sounded like he was having a lot of health issues.

I haven't listened to him in a few years, but back then it sounded like he was having a lot of health issues. He’s been having issues for several years now. Blood clots, heart issues, there’s been talk about brain surgery but I don’t know. This is sad, Russ Martin’s a good guy who has helped many first responders in the DFW area. RIP legend!

I could see suicide or OD, and I hope it’s neither. He had a lot going on health-wise and it seems to have taken a toll on him. He was barely on radio anymore. Never was my cup of tea, but I would switch to him when every other station was on commercial.
He did a lot of fundraising for LEOs. Wasn’t he eventually cleared of the domestic violence deal?
