Close but pretty sure it is a homegrown version. Lots of look alike in Louisiana. Skeeter wasn’t the first to make boats that looked that way they were the first to market them as bass boats.

Yes... Needs some work but could be turned into a pretty stout little rig.... I just don't know how you'd go about being able to register it.

Yes but they didn’t build with a floor like that. Father in law had one in the eighties stick steer 35 merc.
Like riding a skateboard , in rough water you get wet but actually pretty stable.

If it has no tag or molded in serial number, I wonder if it could be registered as a home built boat. There is an avenue to register a home built boat through TPWD. Cool old boat. Good luck.

Contact Skeeter over in Kilgore. Send them some pics and any other info you can provide.
They should be able to tell you one way or another.

I’d love to see it restored, are you going to restore it? And how long is it? Looks maybe 12 foot.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right

12'... It needs a good bit of fiberglass work.... I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet.

Some of the real early Skeeter hawks had wooden floors, but the planks ran lengthwise, not side to side. I think that's probably a knock off, but it's still very cool. As to registering it, I found an old aluminum flat bottom in a tank on a ranch we bought when I was a kid. It didn't have any type of serial number on it, but I registered it as homemade and TPWD used my DL# as the serial number.

Could be one of the first few Tarpon boats, 1968 ish, made in Gladewater.

I know Joe made quite a few design & cosmetic changes over the first years, don't know if they ever made a 12' boat though.
