JD Lyle or Mark Macnamara . Best 2 guides on the lake.

This is not a recommendation, but has anyone ever heard of Dan Barnett??? (I think that's his name)I can't rememeber the name of his guide service.... Is he any good???? I've seen him at the lake a few times. Has a black Falcon.

Been with Dan barnett and will never go again... he can catch fish ok but is one grumpy old fart.

Been with Tinkers, striper express,Rex bridges,Dave washington, and too many others to name over the last 12 years... and none compare to JD lyle.

I found JD 2 years ago ( via this site ) and have been with him about 8-10 times. I do alot of entertaining of customers and some with my family and he is the one you want with either.

He is a top notch professional and has a great boat and equipment and puts on a great show for my customers and is the best i've ever seen with my younger kids.

One time with him we didnt catch a limit but still caught over 50 fish that day.

JD Lyle or Mark Macnamara - I have fished with both, and you cannot go wrong with either. If you really want to learn how to fish Texoma, these two will share information readily - and they are guys well worth getting to know.

I have fished with various guides since 1980, but I have learned much more to use on my own boat from Mark and JD.

JD can handle large parties as he has an enormous pumpkin colored boat.
He attracts alot of attention but when you are the best on the lake, everyone wants to follow you.
Not only will you catch fish but you can gleen great info from him about seasonal patterns and when and how to catch stripers at different times of the season.
Mark MCnamara and he are a team and can accomodate any type of fishing that you want.

Give them a call now as the fishing is awesome!!!!!

If you need a fishing lodge to stay in while at Texoma fishing with JD, Mark or Ricky, I have a 14'x80' fully furnished Mobile home that will accomodate a very large party. We are located 1 mile from Little Mineral Marina and cater to striper fishermen...joebear

I have taken 5 trips with "striper express" and the 6th comming up in late June. I have stayed with Chris & S.E. because the first trip I went on the weather was awful (no guide can control that) cold, rainy, and a nasty north wind. I'm down in Dallas and I got a call to let me know the lake conditions which was a saving grace because Dallas weather that day was about 20 degrees different than Texoma. That kind of personal touch is worth sticking with. Also we have never been skunked we have always caught something. So even if it's a bad day Chris will work his but off for you. To date my personal best is 11 lbs and 30 in. and plenty in the 3-5 lb range yum.

Hook up with Bruce Tompkins of "Bruce's Striper Guide Service". Here's the URL:

http://www.texomastriperguide.org/

I've been out with Bruce a few times and he always comes back with lots of fish. Good price and he can get you a good rate at the Tanglewood resort if you're looking for somewhere to stay. He's on the Texas side near Pottsboro.

JD and Mark are great guides and good people.

I highly recommend them!

They will not only teach you but will show you how to catch fish...

Very Knowledgeable!
