The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our ninth and last members only tournament of 2019, Saturday October 12th on Lake Tawakoni. Here is the information - • When: Saturday October 12th • Where: Lake Tawakoni - Sky Point RV Park - $5.00 Park Use Fee • Time: 7:05 AM - 3:30 PM • Registration: 5:30 - 6:30 AM • Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat - 2 person maximumYou MUST be an RHBC member to fish this tournament. We do not accept membership at the launch ramp, so if you want to fish this one, you will have needed to join the Club at our meeting this Thursday night at BPS Garland. Here is a link to the meeting information. Meeting InfoRegistration will be at the ramp starting at 5:30 on Saturday morning. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. You will need to to turn your chip in by placing it on the board to get your fish weighed. You will need to get your live well checked and a ribbon tied on to your trolling motor which must remain there until weigh in. You can then launch or trailer and go to your spot. No lines in the water until 7:05. Lines out at 3:30. There will be a 30 minute dead water period where no fishing is allowed at the end of the day. This is to give members time to get off the water, and the TD's time to get the weigh in set up. The chip must be back on the board with the Tournament Director by 4:00. Weigh in will start then. If your chip is not on the board at the specified time, a 1 pound per minute penalty will be assessed. After 15 minutes your catch will be marked as 0. You will be called to the scales by boat number. Leave your fish in the live well until your number is called! Keep the water cooled and treated! See you at the ramp!

Great meeting last night! We raised over $1,000 for FFAC. Last points tournament of the year tomorrow. Bundle up! Going to be a 38 degree start to the day but it should be nice by the afternoon. See you at the ramp starting at 5:30!

Well?!?!?!?! What happened?!?!?!?!? Well, while you were getting your picture taken with Mickey Mouse and Goofy and riding Mr Toad, we had 32 boats fish on this chilly but beautiful October day. The win went to the team of Chris Atkinson and myself who weighed five for 20.39. Big bass went to Kevin Scott and Tye Dyess who had a 7.61 toad. Full results and pictures will be posted later this week.

Great job guys! What a fun tournament! We caught a LOT of fish but obviously not the right size. We tried to adapt, and did, but just couldn't find those magic docks. I think they cold front just pushed the fish to start the fall migration. We had 3 points last week that were covered in 2-4 pound schooling fish. Yesterday only one point had one small school pop up right after daylight... caught a 4 and a few 2's out of it.... that was last school we saw on that point. If anyone wants to go have fun on Tawakoni, now is the time. You can catch 1-2 pound fish all over the place! docks, dead willows, rocks.... they are moving around a lot right now. Capp and I found a wad of crappie stacked up on some structure. I think I got most excited about that find!!! So I'll be back out there this week trying to put some groceries in the freezer!!! My new air fryer needs some exercise!!!
