Does anybody know if there are any specks or redfish at Rockport Beach? Do they allow you to throw cast nets from the piers? I am going to be staying within walking distance from Rockport Beach, so I am wondering if I should pack my cast net? We are fishing with a guide in the mornings, but my afternoons and evenings will be free. Any suggestions or info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I guide that area a lot. Wade fish little bay. From the last pier to the Mcdonalds gold spoons, skitter walks, and the Troutsupport Grass Walker. Can also wade fish from the Fulton side of the Copano Bay bridge opposite side of the road as the boat ramp to the end of that sand bar. Good wade casting deep.

RP beach is direct hit for the prevailing winds gets beat up. And too many people....

Piers between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas. Can also go hit the jetties.

Good luck. Report back.
