Tournament yesterday and about 11am both graphs shut off. My radio shut off as well and then it came right back on. My recirculating pumps never stopped. I restarted units and they ran for a few a few minutes and shut down again. Left them off for about 30 minutes and covered them with my life jackets to help them cool down. They worked fine the rest of the day. Any ideas.

My Helix 12 has been junk since I bought it. It is once again back at Humminbird.
Repaired once...HA. Replaced once....now waiting on the third trip back.
Overheats and will only show vertical lines.
My 10 has been flawless.
I am thinking the engineers did not account for the heat of the 12s.

Had my solix act up on me today on Fork. GPS went out at low speed... I would mark a school but couldn't accurately line back up on them. Had to go back to the old school marker buoy. Pretty frustrating for a 2400 dollar unit, oh and it's already had a trip to Johnson outdoors

Do you have them each wired directly to your battery with appropriately sized wires? Since your radio shut down also, I wonder if you tried them into your wiring harness and that is causing your problem. I've never ex pop experienced over heating with any of my units including the helix 12. By 11AM they shouldn't have had enough exposure to heat to effect them especially if they later lasted the rest of the day.

Mine was wired by Shut Up and Fish straight to the battery using his wiring harness

Look at your battery and see what wires come off of it. I would be willing to bet that they tied it in and that is your problem.

No clue on wiring 2019 boat wired from the factory. I don't have a Solix graph so they may very well have problems. I know the Onix graphs I had were junk. Always had issues with them. However most boats are not wired correctly from the factory unfortunately. I had to pull new wires on my skeeter. The factory wires were to small, not wired directly to the battery, and there was not a dedicated wire to each graph. Had tons of problems prior to installing the correct wires. Improper wiring will cause all sorts of issues with humminbird graphs. I had to learn this the hard way. I would check the wiring. It's easy to do and could save you lots of problems down the road. Like others have said, that radio acting up makes me think you have some wiring issues.

Had a similar issue and wired my units with heavier wire directly to the battery and it fixed my problem.

I agree with others that it's more than likely due to the units not being directly wired to the batteries. I've learned the hard way with my Solix's, run a set of 8-10 gauge wire from each unit directly to the battery with a fuse at the battery. Those Solix units don't tolerate low voltage.

If your electronics shut off when you switch off the main power at the console they're wired to the boats electrical system. If you have to shutdown each unit individually it's wired straight to the battery... Dan
