I’ll be in mexia Texas in two weeks for a weekend. Trying to find the closest, decent bass lake near me. I’ve never been to Houston city lake but it looks pretty. Any opinions? My buddy and I have really been doing horrible lately and just need to catch some numbers.

Several options around Mexia with Fairfield and Richland Chambers being close by.

Camelot Bell is just up the road too shocked

If you are talking about Houston County Lake, it isnt a bad lake to fish but it also isnt what it used to be.

If you are looking for numbers, Houston County wouldn't be my first choice. I'd take a look at either of the other two lakes mentioned above.

I normally loveee Fairfield. But I went two weeks ago and got skunked. Couldn’t get it a bite to save my life. Is limestone any good for numbers? Camelot bell is about 10 minutes from where my ranch is if someone wants to cover my trips there laugh
