New alternator put on a 2017 250 Pro XS last summer. Odyssey 31 series cranking battery is 2 years old. After a full day of fishing and running livewells the battery is pretty low even if we have made a long run to weigh in. Smart gauge starts off showing 14 volts when running early in the day then only 12.5 by the end. I thought it might be the battery so I tried an optima blue top and had the same problem. I even checked voltage coming from alternator and got 14 volts just idling. Any ideas what could be wrong? We have some summer tournaments where electronics and livewell use will be heavy.

Stealth Charging System. Cure ALL your ills with Lithium cranking battery, Lithium 36V battery along with Stealth System. Batteries are full charge at end of a long day. Lithium takes 1/2 the time to charge, weigh 70% less.

Sounds like it could still be the alternator. 14volts only means it’s putting out ample voltage. Amperage is the important number. It has to put out more amps than is used by everything currently consuming power, at a higher voltage than 12.6volts, to replenish the batteries charge.
