Curious if a portion of a skeg can be welded on? I’ve heard of people having damage in the past so I assume you can, now I need it. Thanks.

Yes, partial and whole skegs can be welded on. Most prop shops provide this service.

As long as it’s not broke off up to the gear case it can be fixed. I broke on off so close it could not years ago. Had to file it on the insurance. Got a new lower unit.

I broke one about half off 6 years ago and James Propeller in Farmers Branch was able to weld it.
