Does anyone know what the sets of poles are at the mouth of Hickory Creek? Its like 6-10 4x4 posts set fairly close to each other. There are a bunch of sets of them. BTW, we fished all over the lake today and didn't get so much as a bite.

Those poles are for aquatic vegetation experiments. The cages at the base of them are supposed to hold the vegetation in. This came up a couple of years back and I believe someone had a link to the studies but I don't remember what website is was from. They are obviously not doing well LOL

Thank you. I guessed they were for erosion control or something.

They have metals cages at the base to help protect small fish. Supposedly to help spawn/fish growth from what I’ve heard.
