Feel the same about Ray Roberts!

If they ever remove the slot on Fork, the number of tournaments will go way up and that is not at all good thing!

See you on the lake and have a great day!

With all due respect, 5-2 lbrs are dinks. They get dumped at cutoff down here. Looking at the results, 5-1.3#ers got someone a $1000 check. That's literally five dinks in a sack. I understand your perspective and that's why I said I have crazy respect for you guys- that was sincere. It would not motivate me.

It's hard 5x3. And you're right. Its not everyones cup of tea. But I look at it from a money stand point. And myself and several others on that lake have made more money catching those 2 lbs. dinks than a lot of guys that are touring professionals.
But what most people don't see or understand is the number of 25+ lbs. sacks we throw back in every tournament out there. That's the tough part!

That would just be adding insult to injury for me. It's an awesome lake and great fishery that I thoroughly enjoy visiting every year or so to fun fish. If BPT or MLF gets a week there, they are likely to set their records and only best it when they return.

When the original TTBC launched in 2006 or 7, the weights were off the charts. Different format, but the winners and runners up had 40 fish limits that averaged 5.5lbs. Team Scroggins + Chris Daves won the first with 228+ lbs. Team Jordon + Lance Vick won the second event with 200 something.

Most recently, Keith Combs showed what the lake can produce. Several times. Fishing against the best hammers in the business.

Lake Fork in May 2019 will be outstanding. Perhaps astounding. Can't wait!

But she's an old lady. Not an up and comer.

Imagine a similar tournament on Fork in the very early 90's. Or one on Falcon in 2009-'10.

Falcon in '09-'10 would've been just plain silly in a every fish counts format.

Fork always pitches us the worst/ best day all at the same time. We tied for 106th with a big fat zero, never had an “under” bite all day. Caught four slot fish. 3 were easliy 5 lbs, maybe more, and one 23” 9lber.
It’s sad to walk away empty handed and your tail tucked between your legs AND catch 4 fish for 24# all in the same day.
