When and where are you going? Not that it matters much...just curious. But you do NOT need a trailer period. I have fished a lot of Canada for northerns and I am not even sure I would be throwing a chatterbait. Never tried maybe they'll work great....but I can think of a lot better choices.

If you have not thrown a chatterbait for like you are missing out. I have benn 3 times and have caught at least one pike over 43 inches every time. My father caught one that was over 50 inches. We are going to lake Tobin in August. I like adds if a trailer to make the profile bigger.

Good question for Alex Finch. The Yamamoto Zako is pretty durable imo. Also, good for action. Zoom split tail trailers are pretty durable and catch fish. You can buy the white ones and dye them whichever color you want. I prefer the Keitechs behind my bladed jigs, but they are not the most durable trailer.
