The crappie bite was on this morning. The first bite was this ditch pickle
After that we moved to another spot and it was game on. We started pulling out crappie one right after another.


We had at least 10 doubles


Leo caught this one, it had a funky looking mouth.
I caught a couple with an orange jig that i made from scratch, thats poured, painted and hand tied. So proud of myself

We caught 55 crappie but kept 50 and 1 bass but threw him back. All fish were caught on hand tied jigs. I used these
They are green olive, barred tangerine and chartreuse ice. Leo used chart/grape bucktail, cotton candy and ringtail.
Its days like this that make you want to tie even more.

Great job Pot Licker!!!! Where you at Choke today? Went bass fishing today at Choke and didn't get a bite for three
hours of fishing. Decided to go up river to 99 bridge and caught 15 whites and decided to call it a day... Looked like
you both had a great day on the water. I've been strictly a saltwater fisherman for 20 yrs or so..... Started going to
Choke last fall and had a great time with plenty of fish mixed in....Now after seeing those great crappie catches, it's
giving me the itch to start chasing those rascals!!! Just need to figure it out... Congrats again!!!
