I use a product called Cellhelment on my phone screens. It's a liquid glass that strengthens and protects the cell's screen from impact and is suppose to be as strong as tempered glass upon application.

I wonder if it would be beneficial to use the product on graphs?

Its not an issue of they should fix this for me like a warranty. My issue is they wont repair a 2yo unit if you paid them. My 6yo computer cost less and theyll repair it. They just care about selling you the newest overpriced unit that will break as well.

Anyone know of any options to get the thing fixed? High humidity lets moisture in it and it doesnt work right.
I may be dumb but it seems pretty easy to get iPad and cellphone touch screens replaces, does anyone do that for marine electronics?

What's the deductible on your boat insurance?

The solution to any problem - work, love, money, whatever - is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach

Only guess would be trying to have your insurance replace with a new one? Specifically, a marine insurance policy.

Its probably not an easy/cheap fix. That and one they likely dont want to warranty the repair.

My issue is that not only will they not service their product but they have also stopped selling parts to 3rd party repair shops. They just want to force customers to buy new product.

I've only had to call Lowrance one time in the last twenty years of using them. My unit was out of warranty and they made me a heck of a deal on a new unit. I feel like they were more than fair with me. I still wonder what the upgrade price was they offered the OP?

I asked about upgrade and they said I was not eligible because it was damaged not a defect. So far several people have told me call back and try to talk to someone else. Seems answers vary depending on who you speak to a Lowrance.

My policy replaced both of mine, then went from Lowrance to H-Birds.

Just talked to Navico again and got the same response. I asked for supervisor and am on a call back list. We will see what happens.
