I think Dobyns builds the best cranking rods but prefer a Loomis worm rod. Falcon is hard to beat in bang for the buck.

I do have 2 Lews rods, one being a TP1 speed stick and it feels very nice (just feels a lot better than my falcon rods). My wife fished with it and noticed the difference and now prefers to fish with that one

FX Xtreme Angler Series - best rod I have bought in years and I had all falcon before that. Very affordable, great warranty and they just released the GEN 2's early last month. Check them out!

+ 1 for Impulse Rods. Lance and Bryon are great guys to deal with and they make excellent rods.
