Weird format I will have to get use to understanding. I dont like how they level the playing field every time back to zero. Brings too much luck back into the equation.

More skill as I see it. Have to keep catching em every day. Cant coast on one or two heavy sacks in a 4-5 day tourney.

Bryan Thrift is the same way. He's "never on anything" in practice but usually towards the top of the standings

I think the point was the high school and college bass tournaments he competed in helped prepare him, not necessarily his English Lit or Econ courses. He and his brother both won national championships as college anglers.
