Bought a bow mount Minn Kota Maxxum tiller (3X steer) from BPS. It was the display motor and they didn’t have the owner manual. I can’t figure out how to adjust the tiller handle to line up w/ the motor. I’d appreciate any advice from someone that has adjusted one of these.

Thanks!!

I would go to www.minnkotamotors.com and look for an owner's manual for your motor. Just click on service, and then on your particular motor. Good luck!

If you have two people you can do this in the water. One of you hold the lower shaft still so the motor is lined up with the boat. Loosen the nut on the shaft that raises and lowers the heighth. With one of you holding onto the lower shaft the other one turn the tiller until it is lined up with the TM. Tighten the nut. If you are by yourself you need someway of locking the motor down to stay in position. I've beached the boat before and put the motor in the sand and adjust or you can do it while the boat is on the trailer. I prefer it to be in the water just so I can make the final adjustments then and there.
