Went with some buddies on 1-13-2019 in the kayaks. Fish are biting but it was definitely not lights out fishing. I managed 4 keeper size with one good one my buddies both caught 4-5 each. Some fish were on beds as I saw a boat working a bass on a bed. I personally never saw any bass on beds. Water was pretty clear 3-4ft visibility, tons of grass and stumps in the backs of the coves. Fish seemed to like areas with the combination grass and stumps. Caught all our fish up shallow like 2-8 ft or so. Im sure there are fish out deeper but Im not confident in my deep skills and its not easy in a kayak. We only fished the warm side of the lake but we caught fish on both sides going up to the power plant discharge. Seemed like the east side was more productive to me but you dont have to be up at the outlet to catch them they are spread out. Average water temps were 63-65 from ramp and slowly warming up to 71-73 when we got up to the outlet from the plant. Lots of tilapia up at the outlet area.

I went Friday , caught a few on beds , if your bed fishing slow down when looking , we would be fishing for small ones in about 3ft , drop the power poles , I started looking around in 7-8 ft water and would see some bigger ones bedded up. Shallow there pretty skiddish but if you can find sum bedding 7-8 ft they seem pretty locked on. Also caught a few in the grass off points staging to spawn and post spawn . It seems them shutting the plant down for 3 weeks has gotten the fish messed up a little. There in pre , spawn and post spawn on both sides of the lake cold and hot . We didnt smash em by any means but had a fun trying. Hope this helps.
