Is it worth it to purchase a Dual chirp transducer for bass fishing? No costal or water over 100'. More specifically the Garmin 50m-tm vs 51m-tm.

I dont think it makes any difference in shallow fishing. <40-50ft.

You need to make sure that the Garmin or any other fishsounder you choose can handle a dual chirp transducer first. I dont see the need for it in bass fishing but I wouldnt discourage someone from using it if they wish. You might see things that others may miss. Who knows.
